Bristol Insight Dialogue Retreat,
October 2016

with Phyllis Hicks
of Metta Programs
at Oddfellows Hall,
Clifton,
Bristol
Saturday - Sunday
October 1st - 2nd
9.30 - 5pm (4pm on Sunday)
Cost £45, for the two days plus donation.
We are very happy to welcome Phyllis back to Bristol. Insight Dialogue brings the dynamic stillness of silent practice into relationship, both with the environment and with others, through dialogue. We will continue to explore the six Insight Dialogue guidelines as a practice of awakening moment by moment, step by step. Through the exploration of the guidelines and the wisdom teachings of the Buddha we walk the walk, finding the opportunity to awaken in the joys and challenges of everyday life. This two day retreat is both an introduction to Insight Dialogue and an opportunity to deepen practice.
Phyllis Hicks, DMin, NCLPC is a Senior Insight Dialogue Teacher and teaches Insight Dialogue retreats worldwide. She is faculty for The Interpersonal Mindfulness Program (a collaboration between The Center for Mindfulness and Metta Programs) and serves on Metta Programs Teachers Council.
Phyllis is a licensed psychotherapist and directs a nonprofit counseling centre. For twenty-five years she has brought together Eastern and Western understandings of psychology and contemplative practice in a clinical setting. She has studied with a variety of Vipassana teachers and has trained and taught with Gregory Kramer since 2004. She teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Interpersonal Mindfulness at Duke Integrative Medicine, USA.
